A Prayer of Faith Has Power
It takes faith to be saved and to accept our lovely Jesus into our hearts.
Hebrews 11:6 states:
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
We have been given a powerful weapon through prayer. Not only is it the way we communicate to our Father God in heaven through Jesus Christ, it's also one of our weapons of our warfare. Our weapons are not carnal or of this world but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds as 2 Corinthians 10:4 tells us. The prayer of faith is one such weapon, but one must understand how to use it correctly.
One example we’ve been given is the powerful Lord's Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13. And yes, we need to pray this. But we pray other ways too and our prayers become powerful when prayed in faith in Jesus' name.
Mark 11:22-24 says, and it's our lovely Jesus speaking,
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
We shall have them—our prayers are answered! Because we have faith in Jesus' name He will answer as the word says. The prayer of faith is powerful indeed.
We must never forget that Jesus has been given that name above all names. It's all powerful! Acts 4:12 tells us salvation is only possible through Jesus, through His name. His name has soul saving power!
Philippians 2:9-11 reveals that God has highly exalted Him with His name above all others and that one day all will bow before Him.
It is through His name, our faith and the anointing of his Holy Spirit that our prayers can heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons and do all we're called to do. Demons are afraid of Jesus and the power of His name. We know this because of James 2:19:
Thou believest there is one God; thou doest well; the devils also believe in tremble.
We as believers must take hold of the fact that Jesus, the all-powerful Son of the living God Jehovah, lives inside of us. We must fully realize to whom we belong. We are God's children and in Him, in faith, our prayers are heard and will be answered. When we recognize and learn the true power of His name it will increases our Holy faith to where we can believe all things are possible through Him.
We have been taught to pray and believe our prayers are heard, this is good. However, are we praying effectively and fervently so our prayers have the full power of God behind them? We must believe and have faith that our God is all He says He is.
And God shows no partiality. In his Holy Word, in Romans 2:11, Paul says,
For there is no respect of persons with God.
Therefore, if He moves through my prayers of faith, He will move through yours.
All it takes is faith. Faith means to believe.
Only believe.
Only believe every word in the Holy Bible is true.
Only believe and you will be saved.
Only believe that Jesus and His name is all powerful.
Have faith in your God and He will move when you pray in Jesus' name. James 5:16 affirms this:
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
To pray effectively, powerfully ask the Holy Spirit to lead you how to pray in each situation. Pray about everything believing in faith and knowing He hears you. His word is true. Stand upon His Word in faith. It cannot fail and He cannot fail. Our prayers are powerful because we pray them in faith in Jesus mighty name.
How do we know to do this? Because Romans 8:26 declares:
Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
A powerful prayer of faith prayed in Jesus' name does not have to be a long prayer. It needs only to be prayed in faith, believing He hears us and will answer.
It comes down to this:
Believe and have faith that every word of God is true. Believe that you can and will become an unstoppable force in your life, in the Kingdom of God, when you pray, live your life and do all according to His will in Jesus' name.
